i know i know…
Its been a while since I last posted anything. Unfortunately, I have been very busy with school and work. Even my weekly cleaning sessions have been delayed. Well, I am officially on break for a while, so no excuses now. :)
Thunder and Lightning = Mother Nature’s fireworks!
So we just had a small thunderstorm roll through here today in the Coachella Valley. It was a nasty one, too. At about 9am my time, I noticed that it was a bit darker than usual for a normal summer’s day. I decided to watch the storm approach from my front portch. BIG MISTAKE! No sooner had I stepped out when BOOM! Lightning and thunder erupted and the rain began to fall as heavy as the waters of Niagra. There is still a small pool of water at the base of my outside stairs. I do enjoy watching lightning, but only when it’s on TV.

Or think about making your bed. Or maybe make your bed 3, 5, 7, or 12 hours from now. Or 6 hours ago. If you have a bed. And if you have bedding. When you get out of it, though. Or when you get home. Maybe write it down somewhere? Oh, I’m not sure what time zone the moon is, but I think the gravity thing might make bed-making difficult.
Does that cover it?
idea: how about you recruit 40 friends, one in each time zone, to repost the “make your bed” daily posting? dont know if you have that many friends, but it could help you out for the time zone thing. as for me, im used to seing things hours in advance. the DirecTV service i get in california is always like that. :)

Prompted by recent criticisms, I would like to re-write some of the older posts from the archives that have been recently resurrected (including, but not limited to, the Fundamentals post) to be more inclusive and more representative of this blog as a whole and of Team UfYH as a community….
you know what? i’m gonna agree with the general concensus of people who are stating not to change a damn thing. DO NOT CHANGE A DAMN THING!!!! and for those pesky little bitches peeps who try to bully you into being more sensitive to people who are depressed/have disabilites and what not, keep this in mind: I HAVE SEVERE DEPRESSION, ANXIETY, ASTHMA, A LEARNING DISABILITY, AND I’M COPING WITH GRIEF, AND THIS BLOG HAS TOTALLY TURNED MY LIFE AROUND!!! Elenor roosvelt said “No one can make you feel inferior without your consent”. DO NOT GIVE THEM THE CONSENT TO WALK ALL OVER YOU!!!! (or your blog for that matter.) When i last checked, the first amendment in the US constitution still stands and you don’t have to take lip from anyone who tries to state otherwise. (for those not familiar with the US Constitution: the first amendment is the Freedom of Speech, press, religion, etc.)

For me, cooking refried beans is a 2 day process
After organizing my pantry, I found that I had a lifetime of dried beans just sitting at the back. So I Googled how to cook dried beans and came across many websites to help me. I followed the instructions, but my first batch came out harder than I wanted it to be. This was my one day batch. My second batch came out splendidly, and it took me 2 whole days from soaking to refrying. Yum!

Hello. My name is Heidi and I work for Wal~mart. Now I know that some of you may groan at the sound of this, but rest assured I am not your ordinary Wal~mart associate. I am not here to put the focus on my job other than the fact that its just a job. I am in college, and I am working my way up for bigger and brighter things. There are some ground rules I will state right here and now.
Rule 1: There will be a zero tolerance for the bashing, berating, and dissing of Wal~mart. Any hate mail will be fed to my pet dragon.
Rule 2: I am not here to talk about my job in minute detail. This is the “Random Adventures” of my life, not the “Random BS/Gossip” from my store or about the company i work for. I am going to blog about my travels, my school work, and perhaps spread a bit of awareness about those going through grief (like myself).
Rule 3: Posts, replies, and what not will be a bit sporadic whilst I get myself situated to Tumblr. Please bear with me, and I thank you for your patience.
